ADMINISTRATION

Simon Latchford

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER The CEO is responsible for the strategic, financial and operational management of the organisation and is directly responsible to the Chairman and Board of Directors. Simon plays a key strategic role driving key organisational strategies to support the development of a strong regional brand quantifiable by an increase in visitation and visitor spend for Sunshine Coast tourism operators. Simon is also responsible for the acquisition and management of strategic partnerships. 
Simon is currently sits on the boards fo the following:

  • Board member of Sunshine Coast Major Events Board
  • Board member of Association Of Australian  Convention Bureaux
  • Australia China Business Council -Tourism representative (Queensland branch)
  • Chair of Queensland Regional Tourism Organisation Committee
  • Representative position for the Queensland Regional Tourism Organisation Committee of the Queensland Tourism Industry Council Board

 

Gillian Toner

HEAD OF OPERATIONS
Gillian manages all operational aspects of the business including HR, recruitment and selection, IT, systems, vehicles and WH&S. Gill also manages special projects for the organisation and provides a secretariat function to the Board of Directors, Audit and Risk Committee and Digital Committee. 
 

Anna Norelius

ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT
Anna joined the organisation in 2017 and comes to us with extensive administration experience.  Anna provides administrative support to the Head of Operations and the CEO’s office and assists with diary management, booking staff travel, catering and supplies, answering telephones and other administrative duties as required.

 

Katrina Logan

FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION COORDINATOR
Katrina joined the organisation in 2016 with extensive accounts experience and is the first point of contact for all accounts enquiries.  Along with assisting the Director of Corporate Services, she coordinates all accounts payable and receivable functions including invoicing, balance sheet & credit card reconciliations, payment runs, banking and monthly financial reports.

 

MARKETING AND EVENTS

Kylee Daniel

HEAD OF MARKETING
Kylee has a key leadership role within the organisation, supporting the CEO in driving marketing strategies and fostering key partnerships in order to grow visitation, increase visitor spend and encourage regional dispersal. As our resident kiwi, Kylee brings significant international experience in brand, marketing, commercial partnerships and events. In her role as Head of Marketing, Kylee leads and oversees all areas of marketing including, domestic and international, brand, digital, major event marketing as well as Study Sunshine Coast.  

Tracey Coobula

MARKETING MANAGER  Tracey holds a key leadership, operational and support role within the Marketing team, driving key marketing strategies and plans in support of the development of a strong regional brand.  With over 15 years’ experience delivering targeted creative content across traditional, digital and social platforms and expertise in campaign management, Tracey provides a 2IC function to the Head of Marketing.



 

Krystel Stevenson

EVENTS AND MARKETING COORDINATOR

Krystel comes to us with a strong event administration background.  She provides events and marketing support to the Head of Marketing and marketing team. In her free time, Krystel enjoys surfing and hiking the many amazing tracks over the coast.

 

 

Allison Wallace

DIGITAL MARKETING COORDINATOR
The Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of digital marketing.  There is a key focus for the role in supporting brand and lead generation campaigns, along with creating and distributing content on all digital platforms for the organisation.  Allison joined the team in 2018, with extensive Digital Marketing experience.


 

Brett Ross

DIGITAL DESIGN SPECIALIST

Brett provides an in-house graphic design service for the organisation. Brett develops and edits images for use in print and media, produces high quality documents, designs advertisements and manages the image library. He also supports the wider VSC team with video and still production to create content for VSC’s digital channels.

 

Justin Franks

DIGITAL  SPECIALIST

Justin is the Digital Specialist at VSC, looking after all aspects of the digital space. Managing websites, software and online tools along with SEO and analytics. Having worked in the digital space for both in agencies and consultant for over 15 years he is passionate about using the digital medium to promote the Sunshine Coast.



Sara Ismar 

SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT
Sara joined the team in 2018, fresh out of the University of the Sunshine Coast.  An award winning student, Sara hit the ground running and provides support to the digital team in creating innovative content for leisure and corporate social media platforms.

 

 

Samantha Dalla

INTERNATIONAL MARKETING SPECIALIST

Samantha joined the organisation in December 2017 and has extensive experience working in global destination marketing, PR/media and tour operations. Samantha provides a pivotal support role to the VSC international marketing team, facilitating daily management of our trade and international marketing activities, and is responsible for member and Australian based inbound stakeholder relationship management.
 

Stephanie Siebert

MARKETING CONSULTANT (EUROPE)
Stephanie Siebert is the European Representative for VSC based in Germany. Stephanie’s main focus is to provide daily support for our key trade partners and activate marketing in our primary source regions of UK/Europe.


 

Kim Baldwin

Manager - Study Sunshine Coast

Kim joined Visit Sunshine Coast in 2017 and has extensive experience in marketing, business development and project management roles. Kim is responsible for managing the Study Sunshine Coast program which promotes the Sunshine Coast as a premier education destination to domestic and international markets.


 

BUSINESS EVENTS

 

Maureen Brennan

BUSINESS EVENTS MANAGER
Maureen is responsible for engaging the industry in market development initiatives to grow the Sunshine Coast’s share of the business events market sector.  Maureen has extensive industry experience and has held positions with Tourism Auckland,  Carlton Group and Hilton International.



 

Michelle Burgum

BUSINESS EVENTS EXECUTIVE

Michelle provides a support role for the Business Events department to promote the Sunshine Coast as a viable and attractive destination for business events. Michelle also manages all leads, research compilation and administrative tasks.  


BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS

Andrew Fairbairn

INDUSTRY & MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Andrew is passionate about the tourism industry on the Sunshine Coast! He heads up the industry engagement (membership), destination development and Visitor Information Centre (VIC) departments of the organization. The role also manages all commercial partnerships and sub regional relationships.

 

Bev Dooley

VIC COORDINATOR - SOUTH
Bev is responsible for the Caloundra Road, Bulcock Street, Glass House Mountains and Montville Visitor Information Centres. This includes managing over 300 volunteers, rostering, systems and processes.  
 



Emily Jimmieson

VIC COORDINATOR - NORTH

Emily is responsible for the Coolum, Sunshine Coast Airport, Maroochydore and Mooloolaba Visitor Information Centres. This includes managing over 300 volunteers, rostering, systems and processes.  




Anke Hoppe

MEMBERSHIP COORDINATOR

Anke looks after reception and the membership administration functions for the organisation. Anke is the first point of contact for all membership related enquiries.  
 


PR & COMMUNICATIONS

Liz Tuckett 

PR & COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST
Liz drives all PR, media and communications activity for the organisation. Liz also manages a number of in-region media famils and provides advice to senior management on all PR and media activities.



Lauren Grounsell

PR & COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT
Lauren joined the organisation in 2018 with a background in journalism, having held positions at Daily Mail Australia and APN. Lauren is the main contact within the organisation for all media enquiries and provides a key support role in the PR and Communications team. She also assists in drafting eNewsletters, handling media enquiries and coordinating famil itineraries.  


 

Peter Hook

COMMUNICATIONS CONSULTANT (SYDNEY)
Peter Hook provides representation for the organisation in Sydney and also plays a key support role for all PR, media and communications activity of the organisation. Peter is employed as a contractor on an ongoing basis.
