Sunshine Coast Airport (MCY), which is located in the stunning seaside town of Marcoola , is serviced by Jetstar, Virgin Australia and Qantas domestically, with low cost airline Bonza coming soon. Air New Zealand also provide seasonal flight services direct from Auckland. Centrally located, the Sunshine Coast Airport offers a range of transport options including shuttle buses, hire cars, taxis, Ubers and public bus services.

Airlines

Sunshine Coast Airport (MCY) is centrally located in Marcoola, just a cruisy 15 minute drive from Maroochydore or 30 minutes from Noosa. There are regular direct flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Auckland (seasonal). Bonza has direct regional routes to the Sunshine Coast. Check their website for all locations.

International Airlines

Brisbane Airport is the international gateway to Queensland with regular transfers to the Sunshine Coast. Brisbane Airport operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week and has two major terminals servicing 34 airlines flying to 85 national and international destinations.

Road

The Sunshine Coast is located one hour’s drive (100km) north of Queensland’s capital city, Brisbane. All major car rental companies are represented at both Sunshine Coast Airport and Brisbane Airport. Driving yourself with either a rental car or your own vehicle is one of the best ways to explore the regions and take in the magnificent scenery - read: sparkling coastlines and lush hinterland. The roads are well signed and easy to navigate.

Buses

Airport Transfers operate hourly with door-to-door shuttle services from both Brisbane and Sunshine Coast airports, seven days a week. Intrastate and Interstate bus services also regularly service the region, with private charter services available as well.

Trains

A railway line connects the region to Brisbane in the south and Gympie and beyond to the north, with major stations at Beerwah, Landsborough, Nambour, Cooroy and Gympie North.
