Christmas Day lunch on the Sunshine Coast

A number of Sunshine Coast restaurants are opening their doors for Christmas lunch and dinner, allowing you to enjoy local seafood and a traditional Christmas spread without the hassle.

With so many great restaurants to choose from, it’s the perfect way to relax and celebrate with family and friends.

Noosa Boathouse

Experience the magic of Christmas Day at Noosa Boathouse. Leave the hard work to experienced hands and enjoy a delicious festive lunch at this waterfront location, right on the Noosa River. Choose between a seafood buffet or four-course lunch. Their Sunset Bar on the top deck will also be open from 10am-4pm for guests who would like a drink before or after lunch. The Dock, Mooloolaba

The Dock Mooloolaba is favoured by locals and visitors alike looking to embrace The Wharf’s renewed dining precinct. This Christmas The Dock is looking to take dining to a whole new level, with available sittings on Christmas Day at 11:30am or 12:30pm. The set three-course menu features local seafood, three different mains and dessert. Cost is $150 per person, including a selection of drinks for three hours, or $40/person for the kids’ menu. The Tamarind – Spicers Tamarind Retreat                                         

Ditch tradition this Christmas and enjoy Christmas lunch in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland at Spicers Tamarind Retreat. Forgot spending hours in the kitchen and indulge in a festive four-course Asian inspired Christmas lunch at this stunning one Chef Hatted restaurant. Pomodoras on Obi 

On Christmas day Pomodoras on Obi in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland town on Maleny will delight you with a superb four-course lunch menu in a relaxed, café-style atmosphere. If you’re feeling the effects of the festive flurry, this is the perfect place for you to sit back, relax and enjoy a memorable meal. 

Golden Beach Tavern 

Enjoy prawns on arrival followed by a seafood taste plate, traditional roast turkey, pavlova and more at Golden Beach Tavern this Christmas. The set menu lunch is sure to be a crowd pleaser, and costs just $89 for adults or $29 for children 4-12 years old. Make sure to bring your Christmas cheer as you celebrate with family and friends, without the clean-up.

Noosa Beach House 

Enjoy dinner in style at the Noosa Beach House, headed by chef Peter Kuruvita.  After exchanging presents and a swim at the beach it’s time to relax and enjoy the festive evening. Enjoy a three-course menu, including a glass of champagne on arrival with further beverages on consumption, and a special children’s menu. Novotel Twin Waters Resort

Enjoy a buffet lunch or seafood buffet dinner at Novotel Twin Waters Resort this Christmas. The Wandiny Christmas Treat buffet lunch will be held from 12pm – 2:30pm in the Wandiny Pavilion, featuring live music by the Nicole Sky duo band. Cost is $169 per adult, $91 for teens or $49 per child. The Seafood Buffet Dinner will be held from 6-9pm at Nouveau Restaurant and costs $119 per adult or $39 per child.
