Christmas festivities on the Sunshine Coast

It’s jingle all the way at these fantastic Christmas festivities!

 

Aussie World Christmas Spectacular

23 December, 6 pm -9.30 pm
Aussie World, Palmview
Family of four (two adults and two children or one adult and three children) $98
Meet Santa and Mrs Claus, come face to face with Christmas characters, enjoy the roving carolers, watch the fireworks, wander through Santa’s village, meet the Aussie Kids and watch the Christmas show. There's also snow, pyrotechnics, laser-shows, Christmas lights and live entertainment. Enjoy rides, attractions and festive fun. 

Christmas Wonderland at the Ginger Factory

6 December to 24 December (Wednesday to Sunday)
9 am – 5 pm, The Ginger Factory, Yandina 
Santa is coming to the Ginger Factory and may even have a little gift for the good boys and girls. Don’t forget to bring your camera so you can capture this special moment in front of his wonderful Christmas setting! *Please note, Santa will be taking Monday and Tuesday off, as he has a strict toy making schedule to stick to so he can deliver presents all over the world for Christmas.

Twilight Markets Caloundra

8 December to 26 January (each Friday)
5 pm – 9 pm, Bulcock Beach Esplanade, Caloundra
The Twilight Markets Caloundra are set to bring holiday spirit to Bulcock Beach. The markets will operate over the December/January holiday periods and provide over 100 stalls that will line the street of Bulcock Beach, street entertainment and a wide selection of food stalls, there is something to amuse the whole family. 

Maleny Christmas festival and street carnival 

8 December, 6 pm to 10 pm 
Maple Street, Maleny
Find perfect, unique gifts for loved ones and enjoy the entertainment at the annual Maelny Christmas Festival nad Street Carnival. With food vendors, performances and displays from local groups, live music, stalls, raffles and more. 

Nambour Community Carols

9 December, 3 - 8 pm
Nambour Showgrounds
3 pm – Twilight Christmas Markets (40+ stalls) with free kids’ entertainment and food court.
6 pm – Carols concert. Enjoy a concert featuring local artists and a special visit from Santa and his friend Joy Bells.
8pm – Fireworks.

Carols at Cotton Tree

9 December, 4.30 - 8 pm
Cotton Tree Park, The Esplanade, Cotton Tree
Come and enjoy a wonderful Christmas celebration with entertainment, food and fun. Bring a blanket or chair and join for a night of great local talent, singing much loved Christmas carols and a special visit from the man in red, Santa.

Summer Holiday fun at Australia Zoo

9 December to 24 December 
Australia Zoo, Steve Irwin Way 
Join Australia Zoo for our Summer Holiday fun! Help Santa find his missing elves who are hiding around Australia Zoo. With tons of wildlife to see and even more adventures to be had, it's a great way to kick off a jam-packed summer

Lights on the Lake 

10 December, 4 pm to 8 pm 
Crummunda Park, Wurtulla (on Currimundi Lake) 
Live entertainment, kids activities, market stalls, a Santa visit, a drumming circle and a laster lights hwo will accompany the main event: the parade of boats lit up for Christmas on the lake. 

Christmas movie in the stadium

13 December, 5 pm to 9 pm 
Sunshine Coast Stadium
The big screen just got bigger with a supersized Open Air Movie Night happening on December 13 at Kawana Sports Precinct, bringing that Christmas tree to life with Elf! Bring the family and friends for an evening under the stars, munch on some organic popcorn or stuff yourself silly with some of the delicious street food vendors. You will be serenaded with Christmas Blues from 5pm onwards and after a visit from a very special friend (ho,ho,ho) we will be kicking off with the feature film ‘Elf’. Once the sun goes down, you can kick back, chillax and celebrate the festive season in style.

Peregian Springs Christmas Specactular 

13 December, 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm 
Peregian Springs Rec Club Foot Fields
Let’s celebrate the joy and meaning of Christmas! Bring a picnic rug and get friends and family together to enjoy the markets, food stalls, local music artists, live carols band, kids entertainment, a visit from Santa and special guest: ‘Tarzan’ from the recent TV show ‘Australian Survivor’.

Christmas at Kunara

15 December, 5pm 
Kunara Organic Marketplace, Forest Glen - FREE 
Enjoy an evening of family fun featuing the Christmas film the Muppet Chirstmas Carol, food and charity stalls, live music, scavenger hunt and more. You can even meet Santa! 

Mooloolaba Christmas Boat Parade

16 December, from 6.30 pm
The Wharf Mooloolaba - FREE 
See festivities take to the water with an array of boats decorated in Christmas cheer and lights. A parade starts at 6.30 pm in front of The Wharf Mooloolaba before heading out along the main canals of Mooloolaba, Kawana and Buddina and finishes back in front of The Wharf. Boats are even judged for best dressed competition.

Carols on Kings

16 December, 4.30 - 8 pm
Kings Beach Amphitheatre
Come and enjoy a wonderful Christmas celebration with entertainment, food and fun. Bring a blanket or chair and join in for a night of great local talent, singing our much loved Christmas carols and a special visit from Santa.

Coolum Christmas in the Park

16 December, 6 - 9pm,
Tickle Park, Coolum Beach
Family friendly carols under the stars. Bring your family and friends and you best singing voice! Come along and have a great time. Fireworks. 

Santa Comes to Mooloolaba

24 December, 2 pm
Mooloolaba Beach
Before Santa embarks on his annual journey around the world he will stop in at Mooloolaba Beach to visit all the good boys and girls of the Sunshine Coast. Santa will arrive at the beach on a surf boat at 6 pm on Christmas Eve. This free community event is proudly organised by Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club. All welcome. There will also be fireworks and live music from 2 pm.
