byAustralia Zoo-01 Nov 2018

This year on 15 November Australia Zoo, the Irwin family and Wildlife Warriors are inviting everyone all across the world to don their khaki in celebration of Steve Irwin Day, held in honour of the one and only Crocodile Hunter.

And if you’re lucky enough to be around Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast that day, not only will you get a 10% admission discount on the day if you rock khaki, there are some extra celebrations inside.

1. See Bindi feed the crocs

The Croc Show at Australia Zoo is always an action-packed, adrenaline filled extravaganza; but, on Steve Irwin Day lucky guests will be in for a real treat!  Prepare to be wowed as Bindi follows in her father's footsteps and gets up close and personal with Australia’s apex predators for a croc feeding.

4. Join a conservation conversation

Steve Irwin was so passionate about conservation, so Australia Zoo is using Steve Irwin Day to bring together leading experts to spread the conservation message to all of their guests. Join Associate Professor Eve Fesl Serico, Nigel Webster and Dr Ross Dwyer to talk all things conservation and ask any burning questions you have been holding onto about wildlife and wild places.

5. Get a free brekkie

We all know breakfast is the most important meal of the day and this Steve Irwin Day, Australia Zoo and Mix FM have you covered! Head down for an early open at 8am and pick up a FREE bacon and egg roll!

Where ever you are in the world, you can celebrate Steve Irwin Day by donning your khakis and helping to protect our beautiful wildlife and wild places. And don’t forget, crocs rule!
