Rabbitohs vs Warriors

Sunshine Coast Council is pleased to partner with the South Sydney Rabbitohs in hosting the Round 5 NRL Telstra Premiership clash between South Sydney Rabbitohs and New Zealand Warriors on Saturday, April 13 at Sunshine Coast Stadium.

Kicking off the start of the school holidays – this clash of two of the NRL’s most exciting teams is the perfect excuse for a family break on the beautifully warm Sunshine Coast.

Original Eumundi Markets

Easter Saturday at Eumundi Markets means a FREE Easter Treasure Hunt for kids. Follow the clues and make your way around the markets to find an Easter treat at the end of the journey.

There will also be the Easter bunny hopping around, loads of baby animals to pet at Old Macdonalds Farm and a line-up of live music around the markets.

Australia Zoo

Easter at Australia Zoo means stacks of fun and activities for the whole family.

Nestled on 105 acres and with over 1,200 native and exotic animals, there is never a dull moment.

Check out giraffes, rhinos, zebras and cheetahs at the African Savannah, and majestic tigers and red pandas in South-East Asia. Visit Bindi’s Island, where you can explore a three-storey treehouse with sweeping views of Australia Zoo, and see ring-tailed lemurs, giant Aldabran Tortoises and colourful macaws.

Catch the world-famous Wildlife Warriors show at noon, with all the slithering, swooping, jaw-snapping action of saltwater crocodiles, birds and snakes in the Crocoseum.

Aussie World

With so many thrilling rides and attractions on offer, a visit to Aussie World makes for an exciting day out.

The park has over 30 rides and attractions including the crowd favourite The Wasp! Prepare to be flung around at a rapid pace but grab the joystick because you have ALL the control and can shoot yourself off sideways into the air!

Don’t forget to join in the annual Easter Bunny Hunt if you visit Easter Sunday.

Ginger Factory

Willy Wonker and his team of Oompa Loompa’s are on a mission to find the ultimate top secret ingredient for their latest confectionary creation. Join him at the Ginger Factory from Monday 8th April to Friday 12th April with two shows daily and help him search for the Golden Ginger!

 

SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast

In addition to exploring 11 fun and interactive animal zones and checking out the Jawsome Sharks in the 80m Ocean Tunnel, kids visiting SEA LIFE this Easter will experience the fun of Peppa Pig and a treasure hunt!

With different fun talks and animal feeds, including the family favourite seal show, there’s plenty for everyone to enjoy at SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast.

Beaches

Kids in Queensland have sun and surf to keep them entertained all holiday long with April delivering average temps of 26 degrees and plenty of sunshine.

Even if you don’t feel like jumping in the water there is still plenty to love about the Sunshine Coast's beaches. Long walks, sandcastles and beach volleyball and cricket are just some of the possibilities.

Rainforests

Hit the hinterland, stretch the legs and see some of the local flora and fauna. Mary Cairncross Reserve, Ewen Maddock Dam, Mt Beerburrum Lookout and Mapleton Falls National Park are just some of the region's highlights that will provide breathtaking views and stunning waterfall finds.
