Sun, surf and soul: Caloundra Music Festival

21 Sep 2018

Kings Beach will transform this spring when it hosts one of Queensland’s biggest outdoor music festivals over four days.

28 Sep-1 Oct

The 2018 line-up features some big Aussie names like Daryl Braithwaite, John Butler Trio, The Temper Trap and Birds of Tokyo alongside international acts including Arrested Development.

Caloundra Music Festival welcomes the whole family with a host of extra entertainment including the Funky Forest - home to the Sun Stage - and loads of activities for the kids including ukulele, drumming and flower crown workshops, inflatables, face painting, yoga for kids and craft activities.

Reef Check Australia will also host an art installation in the Funky Forest featuring 50 years of Sunshine Coast Ocean Heroes designed by artists from Awkward Chat.

Take home more than memories at the photo booth and stave off hunger by visiting the six food courts scattered around the venue. There is also a large undercover seating area at the Soul Stage where you can chill out and hide from the sun between sets.

If all of that doesn’t keep you busy – why not nip out for a swim at King’s Beach? It is literally on the doorstep of the festival.

No bottled water will be sold at the event in order to reduce plastic waste generated at the festival so don’t forget to bring your own water bottle to fill up at one of the refill stations!

You can grab single day tickets or lock it in with 3- or 4-day passes.
