2. Ricky's River Bar and Restaurant


Ricky’s (as the locals call it) is perched delicately on the banks of the Noosa River and boasts all the bells and whistles for an  memorable culinary experience. 3. Spirit House


Enjoy delectable Thai and Asian meals in this Balinese-style haven that has critics raving. When you enter the Spirit House, you arrive in a world that could easily be Thailand, perhaps Ubud – but it is, in fact, still very much in Australia, less than 15 minutes from Coolum Beach. Developed out of an almost denuded cattle farm, Peter and Helen Brierty first began their project in the early 1990s, developing large hydroponic ponds, planting exotic trees and plants and then two years later, in 1995, opening a restaurant and following that with a cooking school that is recognised as one of the best in Australia. 4. The Tamarind

The Tamarind is the fully licensed, in-house restaurant at Spicers Tamarind Retreat, located just three kilometres from Maleny in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The restaurant specialises in innovative modern Asian cuisine, with each dish offering a balance of sweet, sour and spicy flavours. The Tamarind's ever-changing menu and perfectly matched wines make it a true gourmet destination.

5. Noosa Waterfront Restaurant & Bar


This chic beach house style restaurant has been wowing visitors to Noosaville with scrumptious Italian fare from award-winning chef Andrea Ravezzani.
