This year on 15 November Australia Zoo, the Irwin family and Wildlife Warriors are inviting everyone all across the world to don their khaki in celebration of Steve Irwin Day, held in honour of the one and only Crocodile Hunter.
And if you’re lucky enough to be around Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast that day, not only will you get a 10% admission discount on the day if you rock khaki on arrival at Australia Zoo, there are some extra celebrations inside.
The Croc Show at Australia Zoo is always an action-packed, adrenaline filled extravaganza; but, on Steve Irwin Day lucky guests will be in for a real treat! Prepare to be wowed as Bindi, Robert and Terri follow in Steve's footsteps and get up close and personal with Australia’s apex predators for a croc feeding. You can also stream it live online at 1.15pm AEST if you can't be there in person!
The Traditional Owners, the Gubbi Gubbi people of the Sunshine Coast and Gympie regions, will perform live at the Steve Irwin Day official opening ceremony in the world famous Mount Franklin Crocoseum just before the Irwin family feed the crocs in the Wildlife Warriors show!
Team up with your family and embark on a mission to collect all four Wildlife Warrior wristbands as you learn ‘The key to becoming a true Wildlife Warrior' on the Conservation Mission!
Follow the clues on the mission map to find all four locations around Australia Zoo and learn about animal conservation while collecting fun wristbands to take home.
Steve Irwin was so passionate about conservation, so Australia Zoo is using Steve Irwin Day to bring together leading experts to spread the conservation message to all of their guests. The Conservation Conversations will be held in the Australia Zoo Education Centre. Seating is limited!
