Here are the festive events bringing all the Christmas cheer this December on the Sunshine Coast.
Santa's workshop at the Ginger Factory
WHEN: 8-12, 15-19, 22-24 December, 9:30am-1:30pm each day

Christmas is just around the corner so why not visit Santa's Workshop at The Ginger Factory this December. He even has some early Christmas gifts to give out to all the good boys and girls!
WHEN: 18 December, 4pm-10pm
WHERE: Nightquarter, Birtinya
Celebrate the magic of Christmas carols, festive characters and all the sweet treats you can imagine at Nightquarter. Take the family along to dance with Rudolph!
Christmas Light Cruises
WHEN: 2-30 December, each evening at 6.30pm
WHERE: Sunshine Coast Afloat
Enjoy the lights of Christmas along the waterfront properties of Mooloolaba, Minyama, and Buddina. Property owners along the water’s edge compete for the prize of best presented display and you get the best view from on the water. Each year they clearly pull out all stops to have a shot at first prize!
Christmas Canal Cruises
WHEN: 10-22 December, each evening at 7pm
WHERE: Mooloolaba Canal Cruises
Get into the Christmas Spirit with a one-hour Christmas Lights Canal Cruise on board the historic M.V.Mudjimba. These festive cruises are B.Y.O. so feel free to bring along an esky with some nibbles and drinks.
Eumundi Christmas Extravaganza
WHEN: 12 December, 2.30pm-7.30pm
WHERE: Eumundi Markets Carpark
Celebrate Christmas with a five-hour festive show incorporating local entertainers, themed and costumed children’s entertainment by the Santas, as well as performances by our local youth groups, and food & market stalls. A free community event for kids of all ages.
A Holly Christmas
WHEN: 15 December, 11am
WHERE: The Events Centre, Caloundra
Deck the Halls with Buddy Holly and celebrate all that is Christmas with an incredible collection of Christmas favourites performed by Scott "Buddy" Cameron and his band.
The Festive Garden
WHEN: 17 December, 6pm-9pm
WHERE: Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden
Cross into a magical wonderland where you are greeted by elves, serenaded by carollers and surronded by a forest full of twinkling lights in 'The Festive Garden.' This walk-through Christmas experience is free but you will need to book.
Christmas Flicks in the Park - The Grinch
WHEN: 18 December, 6pm-8pm
WHERE: Tickle Park, Coolum
Take along a rug and enjoy a movie under the stars with your family and friends. With the movie kicking off after the sun goes down, there is plenty of time to enjoy movie snacks and even get your face painted before it starts.

Meet Santa and Mrs Claus, come face to face with Christmas characters, enjoy the roving entertainment and dancers, meet the Aussie Kids and watch a Christmas show. Don't miss out on the Christmas lights, SNOW, market stalls and live entertainment, as well as plenty of rides!
A Celtic Christmas

Twilight Christmas Train
WHEN: 18 December, 5pm-9pm
WHERE: Historic Gympie Station, Tozer St, Gympie
Welcome aboard the inaugural Mary Valley Rattler Twilight Christmas Train! Depart Historical Gympie Station at 5pm for the rare opportunity to enjoy a journey on the Mary Valley Rattler at night. Take in the Mary Valley under a setting sun, before arriving at the historical Amamoor Station where you can join the 'Friends of Amamoor' Christmas Party before returning to Gympie.
Sunset Cultural Tour
WHEN: 12, 19, 24 December, 4pm
WHERE: Mooloolaba canals
Admire the Christmas light boat parade on Mooloolaba waterways from a unique perspective, while enjoying an authentic cultural experience and live music on the Sunshine Coast. Brought to you by Saltwater Eco Tours.
