RACV Noosa Resort has achieved two gongs this year.
Hotels Combined has released its Recognition of Excellence Award for 2017 with RACV Noosa Resort voted the ‘Best Hotel in Queensland’ based on an analysis of guest ratings and reviews.
Criteria for the Best Hotel Award includes quality and consistency of guest reviews, customer ratings, the absence of recurring or unresolved issues, blogs, forums and social media posts.
Chris Rivett, Head of Marketing for Hotels Combined Australia and New Zealand said “The recognition of Excellence Awards celebrate the very best hotels for exemplary customer service across Australia. We are proud to name the RACV Resort Noosa, one of Noosa’s best-loved hotels, with the title of top independent hotel in Queensland.”

RACV Noosa is one of Australia's best-loved hotels.
RACV’s Noosa Resort has also achieved Silver Certification under the EarthCheck program and joins a small group of operators worldwide recognised by EarthCheck, one of the most well regarded international environment and sustainable certification groups in the world for travel and tourism.
Silver Certification recognises the commitment of the resort to take meaningful steps towards environmental and social responsibility.
There are many ways Noosa Resort has undertaken steps to improve their environmental footprint. One of the most significant changes was the replacement of high energy consumption Fluro lights to LED (energy efficient) lights. This was a massive undertaking as Noosa Resort has more than 5,500 individual lights across their 168 apartments and 340 bedrooms.
“We know that what is good for the planet is also good for business,” said Darren McClenaghan, RACV Noosa Resort Manager. “Anything we could measure, we improved. From our energy usage, water consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, waste sent to landfill, recycling and paper product use, we have made improvements at every opportunity.
“Today, we celebrate our Silver Certification but tomorrow we begin the work towards achieving Gold EarthCheck Accreditation. Being environmentally sustainable matters to us because we know it matters to our members and guests.”
