In 2018, you can fly non-stop from Auckland to the Sunshine Coast (Maroochydore) from 6 July to 28 October with Air New Zealand and land right in the heart of the Sunshine Coast. At other times of the year, you can fly non-stop to Brisbane and enjoy a leisurely one-hour drive north to Caloundra or around 90 minutes to Noosa Heads. The average Auckland to Sunshine Coast flight is just under four hours, while the Auckland to Brisbane flight is about three hours and 45 minutes.
