Queensland Air Museum is Australias largest and most diverse historic aviation display. Located at Caloundra on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, the museum opens to the public every day of the year except for Christmas Day. Established in 1974 with a vision of Preserving Australias Aviation heritage the display includes almost 100 historically significant aircraft and many other aviation-related displays. Experienced aviators can often be located on-site to assist the visitor experience. As the QAM team says, Learn about aviation history from someone who created it. Group tours can be booked via the website and the facility is an ideal destination for car clubs, aviation groups, and other interested parties to learn about Australias aviation history when visiting the Sunshine Coast. There is a well-stocked memorabilia shop with a large range of aviation models and other aviation-related treasures. Visit the website qam.com.au and Facebook page for further information. The museum is run entirely by volunteers and new members and volunteers are encouraged. Discover aviation history at Queensland Air Museum.
