Elke Louie 'Lavender' EP Launch - Gympie Music Hall, with Those Folk
Emerging Australian singer-songwriter Elke Louie will return home to Gympie for a local stop on her debut EP Lavender tour. A change of venue has been announced for Sunshine Coast Music Award nominee Elke Louie's hometown launch show now at the Gympie Music Hall, which is part of the AICM where Elke began her musical journey at age 0. Adding to the evening is a special guest performance by Those Folk, the producers behind Elke Louie's entire debut EP, offering audiences a rare opportunity to experience both the artist and creative collaborators who helped bring Lavender to life. Elke has been nominated for two categories in the 2026 Sunshine Coast Music Awards, as a finalist for Young Artist of the Year, and Artwork Of The Year for the self-directed video for debut single "Killing Time". This all-ages event offers local audiences a rare opportunity to celebrate the release of Lavender in the town where Elke's musical journey began. A graduate of Gympie State High School's Music School of Excellence, Elke was awarded Most Outstanding Music Student in both 2022 and 2023, becoming the first Gympie State High student accepted into the Queensland Music College Certificate IV in Music via distance.
