Aussie World - Smokey Queenslander Burger

Open seven days, The Pub on Downunder Drive at Aussie World is the Sunshine Coast's (if not Australia's) most iconic watering hole. Our pick from the menu's extensive burger range is the "Smokey Queenslander". Also known as the "gamechanger", this modern twist on the classic Australian patty-pineapple-beetroot combo sets the standard with layers of grilled angus beef, double-smoked bacon, cheese, lettuce and a dollop of smokey BBQ sauce - all sandwiched in a fresh sesame seed bun. Served with a basket of chunky chips - no one will be going home hungry.

Rick's Garage - Rick's famous "Big One"

This old-school diner and working garage in Palmwoods knows how to super size. The shopping list of ingredients includes a double-serving of beef, bacon, cheese, eggs (free-range), lettuce, aioli and house-made tomato relish - skewered between layers of house made bread. It may take two people to demolish this towering 1.1kg creation that comes with a "this item cannot be altered for structural reasons" warning.
