One way is to start your day before the sun even gets up and the sunrise from Mount Coolum is certainly worth the early mark. On one side, you will be treated to the sights of the coastline and sandy beaches that extend from Moreton Island to Double Island Point.

On the other side, you will feel as though you have been placed into a picture frame that is filled with hills and valleys. The climb takes between 20-40 minutes depending on your level of fitness.

Cool off from your morning hike with some Stand Up Paddle Boarding on the calm waters at Cotton Tree. It definitely won’t matter if you fall in.

Lunch calls for a seat overlooking the marina at Kawana Waters. Situated on the Mooloolah River, Kawana Waters Hotel is open for lunch and dinner seven-days a week.

Finish your day just like you started it, up a mountain! Mt Ngungun is almost made for those sunset views of the surrounding Glasshouse Mountains. At a good pace it will take you 20-30mins to get to the summit so time it right to get that ‘magic hour’ light.
