Robinson Falls in Cilento Park, Nambour

Who would have thought that a little pocket rainforest of paradise would be within walking distance of Nambour’s main street?

Discover the secret spot that is Robinson Falls of Cilento Park, where you'll arrive to find an open parkland with picnic tables, BBQ, play equipment, and amenities, perfect for a lunchtime celebration or an expedition with friends.

Follow the signs to a short bush track that takes you through the undulating rainforest and the bottom of the waterfall in a loop. Here you’ll be surrounded by the typical subtropics’ noises of whip birds, bell birds and other forest critters, plus the meditative, soothing sounds of water falling onto rocks and rippling along the creek.

Get your heart rate going at Koala Park

A lovely little surprise in the heart of Nambour, Koala Park is a beaut spot for a vigorous walk and some magical views from the hilltop.

Taking the recreation loop of about 1km you’ll follow a short bush track around the forest, ending back at the entrance. You’re bound to get up a sweat as the walk includes a steep set of stairs too. If you’re new to trail running or keen on a short endurance sesh, Koala Park is perfect. Pooches are welcome too - if kept on a leash.

Local tip: Keep your eyes peeled for koalas!

Starry Nights Luxury Camping

Surrounded by the gently burbling waters of Petrie Creek Woombye, among beautiful gumtrees and kookaburras calling as the sun dips, Starry Nights Luxury Glamping is a place to escape, switch off and be totally carefree for a while.

Each of the handmade tents are set into the hillside with old recycled barn floorboards, basins made from stone and a roaring wood fire, creating a warm welcoming vibe that says, ‘cosy up people’.

With king sized beds, organic linen, flushing toilets and a hot steaming bath and shower the only thing that’s ‘rough’ is the texture of the canvas roof.

Settle in at Sunshine Valley Cottages

Bring your dog along and enjoy the complete seclusion and the spectacular tropical garden surrounds of Sunshine Valley Cottages in Woombye.

With just three cottages on the property, you’re guaranteed absolute privacy in your self-contained abode. The cottages are fully equipped with your own BBQ and kitchen facilities and look like something out of a magazine for picture perfect cabins with red hardwood clad timber and traditional rustic features.

Each cottage is also fully fenced to keep fido in and there’s a large, dedicated off leash area just for them to cut loose in too!

The best, best thing about street art is you never know when or where it’s going to pop up. But when it does, it’s often MASSIVE and really gets the mind cogs whirring. What is it about? What’s it trying to say? How’s it trying to make us feel? What part of the history of this place does this reflect?

Nambour’s energetic art scene have seized the opportunity to transform street scapes into masterpieces that get our mind cogs whirring, like the recent nod to the military with a 13-metre mural at the Nambour RSL.
