Rainbow Beach Horse Rides specialise in a different type of beach walk; we’ll give you a hint, it involves a horse. They hold the only permit in existence to ride along Rainbow Beach, so you just know it is going to be a pretty amazing experience. Choose from a variety of different horse ride adventures from beach strolls to taking a four-legged paddle, full moon rides and even personalised rides.

Or, enjoy the tranquil experience of riding around Lake Webya, with Noosa Horse Riding. Keep an eye out for local wildlife, including stingrays, kangaroos, goannas and the abundant birdlife in and around the lake. You can also organise private rides for special experiences, and a girls' weekend is definitely special!

The Sunshine Coast food scene has absolutely exploded! You will be spoilt for choice with award-winning restaurants, funky cafes and groovy bars. So instead of choosing just one spot to enjoy, a café crawl is definitely necessary and the best way to see the sights along the way.

Champagne Breakfast

Just you, your squad, endless views and a sumptuous picnic spread.

It’s a girls' weekend, which means anything goes. Even champagne for breakfast! The team at Sunshine Coast Picnics and Deep Love Picnics have mastered the art of luxury picnics and the best part is, you don’t have to lift a finger! All you need to do is decided whether to have an elaborate luxury tepee picnic or a classic picnic rug and cushions, champagne and the perfect picnic feast. Hinterland or coast, both locations are perfect to soak up the stunning views of our gorgeous region.

Climb Mount Ngungun for sunset or sunrise

Mount Ngungun for sunset

For some, this might not seem like an ideal way to spend a girls' weekend, but it's definitely worth it! You will need, active wear, runners, a back pack, cheese, crackers and dips. What better way to end the day then watching the sunset over the Glass House Mountains as you enjoy a homemade cheeseboard? Don’t forget a torch for your short walk down to the car park.

Wining and dining

Purchase your wine and local cheeses at Flame Hill's cellar door and then find a shady spot between the vines.

It wouldn’t be a getaway with your gal pals without a trip to a vineyard to sip and sample a delicious selection of local wines. You will be treated to a variety of estate-grown, hand harvested wines that are enriched with passion and dedication. Flame Hill Vineyard offers genuine paddock-to-plate experience sourcing most of their produce from their very own backyard. They also hold a Flame Hill Stomp in February, so save the date for a weekend with the girls stomping grapes and sipping wine.
