AFL Queensland State Talent Academy Championships

20 Oct - 24 Oct
Over the course of the carnival over 600 players, as well as talented young umpires from throughout Queensland and PNG, will compete in a celebration and display of future talent. These players are progressing through the Queensland pathway towards future careers in AFL, AFLW and their state and community senior leagues. These championships are the first steps in a junior player’s football development, preparing them for the next stage of their journey in Queensland’s Talented Player Pathway. 2019 sees the Papua New Guinea Under-14 team return to the championships with nine other teams. The Girls Under-17 will increase to 10 teams and the Girls Under-14 competition will remain at 10 teams.
