Sunshine Coast camping: glamping, beachside and family fun.

We make camping dreams come true on the Sunshine Coast. Load up the caravan, pack the tent pegs, and get ready for a spectacular escape amongst our diverse natural surroundings. Or if you need to hire a campervan, motorhome or caravan, Camplify has you covered. You can rent one here.

We’re talking lakefront vistas, historical sites (anyone for a bushranger story?), luxurious glamping with an eco-friendly twist, waterslides, and true-blue beachside camping at the gateway to some of our most iconic coastal hotspots.

Heading beachside

Set up camp at Cotton Tree Holiday Park along the shore of the sparkling Maroochy River, where you’ll be set to spend your days swimming, bike-riding, and enjoying twilight fish and chip dinners from The Boat Shed next door. Further north, you’ll only be a stone’s throw from Rainbow Beach at the pristine grounds of Inskip Peninsula, which provide the ideal location to pitch your tent. Alternatively, embrace the idyllic surrounds of the Great Sandy National Park at the Noosa North Shore Beach Campground, where you’ll be on the front foot to explore the picturesque natural beauty of the Cooloola Coast.

Glamping

Combine nature and luxurious rejuvenation with a stay in one of the glamping tents at Habitat Noosa Everglades Eco Camp. Hire a kayak to paddle the lake, admire the wild kangaroos grazing outside your tent, and toast your adventures with a beer at the onsite micro-brewery. Recline back in a claw foot tub amongst the serene bushland at Kanimbia Luxury Camping, or delve into the legends of bushrangers and gold at the historical Cobb and Co Camping site near Gympie. Meanwhile, the organic linen, hot baths, and creekside beauty at Starry Nights Luxury Camping will make you question everything you’ve ever known about the classic camping experience.

Family fun

Don’t leave the kids behind on your next adventure! You’ll have bucket-loads of entertainment at BIG4 Caloundra, where spacious caravan and camping spots (not to mention their villas!) set the tone for days of fun exploring the onsite waterslides, jump mat, and surrounding beaches. Any Disney lovers out there will find plenty to love at Borumba Deer Park in the Mary Valley, where animal-feeding and kayaking along the Yabba Creek are on the agenda. At Ingenia Holidays Rivershore, the fun (and cooking) is all sorted, thanks to onsite mini-golf course and fully licenced restaurant.

Family fun

Amongst the forest

You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to camping in the Amamoor State Forest, with the option of two gorgeous camping areas: Cedar Grove, and Amamoor Creek. Come August, the Amamoor Creek site bustles with activity as visitors pitch their tents ahead of the annual Gympie Music Muster. If you’re keen to hit the water and enjoy a kayak, fishing session, or swim, Bluff Creek Campgrounds have got you covered. You’ll also find an abundance of private camping sites on offer through Hipcamp, including the spectacular Tent in the Forest, and Riverdell spots.

Out in nature

Wake up in your caravan to the sound of waves hitting the shore at the Dicky Beach Family Holiday Park, where the onsite swimming pool, tennis court, and playground are guaranteed to kick-start your outdoor adventure. Another option is to set sail on the waters of Lake Cootharaba, while basing yourself at the serene grounds of Boreen Point Campground. Further inland, the pristine waters of Booloumba Creek in Conondale National Park play host to a range of basic camp sites to choose from, allowing you to stay a little longer amongst the turquoise waters and lush forestry.
