Horizon Underground

25 Aug - 03 Sep
On the fringe of the Horizon Festival of Arts and Culture, a groundswell of unconventional creativity has emerged - Horizon Underground in Nambour. From 25 August to 3 September, a 10-day program of experimental works, emerging artists and new experiences awaits. Local artists and producers, with event partner the Old Ambulance Station, have come together to produce the Horizon Underground program that will challenge your perceptions and tempt you to step outside the norm. Experience Diner en Noir, a Nambouresque gothic-themed twist on Paris’ famous Diner en Blanc and Dying to Know, an intergenerational collaboration exploring death and renewal through the eyes of student photographers. The Black Parlour theatre program features the Nambour Variety Show and MANIA, an awe-inspiring show where glamour and grunge come together in a unique combination of circus talent, burlesque and contemporary culture. Other events include the Hey-Lowe festival and Tortured Remixes by Topology plus a vast array of experiences, exhibitions, workshops and more. During the day or late at night, be a part of the groundswell in Nambour, and go underground… Horizon Underground is presented as part of the Horizon Festival of Arts and Culture - 25 August to 3 September 2017.
