Slow Food with Film - Chocolat

A very tasty highlight of the 2019 NOOSA alive! Festival is the ‘Slow Food with Film - Chocolat’ event, taking place on Monday 22 July from 6pm at Noosa Springs Golf and Spa Resort. Chefs Aden Moriarty from Noosa Springs, Matt Golinski from Peppers and Lisa Mahar from Makepeace Island will create a three-course feast for the senses while you enjoy Chocolat, a most delicious comic fable and a celebration of difference. Chocolat tells the story of Vianne, who in 1959, arrives at the French village of Lansquenet-sous-Tannes with her six-year-old daughter Anouk and opens a chocolaterie. No one could have imagined the impact that they would have on the community stubbornly rooted in tradition. One of the first to fall under the spell of Vianne and her confections is Armande, her eccentric landlady. Her ability to perceive her customers’ desires and satisfy them with just the right confection, coaxes the villagers to abandon themselves to temptation — just as Lent begins. INCLUSIONS: Welcome glass of sparkling offered on arrival with open cash bar.
