The Rotary Club of Buderim Australia Day Parade

26 Jan - 26 Jan
The Rotary Club of Buderim Australia Day parade is one of the premier Australia Day events on The Sunshine Coast. Every year thousands of spectators line the main street of Buderim to watch the grand parade and then head down to The Buderim Mountain School oval for live music, entertainment, games and displays. The day starts at 7.30am with a Lion's hot breakfast, followed at 8.30am by the Welcome To Country performed by the Gubbi-Gubbi group and the very poignant military flag-raising ceremony by the RAAF Cadets and ADF. The Grand Parade kicks off at 9am with military, marching bands, clowns, floats, vintage cars, entertainers, light horsemen, schools, bagpipes and drums, horses and a myriad of other local groups. With around 50 parade participants, there is plenty to delight all. This year the parade will be led by Firies and emergency responders to allow the spectators to show their appreciation for these heroes of our nation. So come along to Buderim on Australia Day and celebrate what it means to be Australian!
