Bexland - Highland Cow Experience

Bexland is a private Highland cow farm in Doonan, in the Noosa Hinterland, just 15 minutes from Noosa and 20 minutes from Sunshine Coast Airport. Every visit is by appointment and the whole farm is booked exclusively for each group, so there are no crowds and no shared tours. The Highland Cow Experience is a private one-hour visit for up to five people. Owner Bex takes guests into the paddock to meet the Moo Crew: Moofy, the matriarch of the herd, her affectionate daughter Mootilda, MickeyD, the first calf born at Bexland, and Grace, the inquisitive show cow. Guests brush and feed the cows and get to know each one properly, at the animals' own pace, while learning about the breed's Scottish heritage and how they are cared for. The experience is hands-on, welfare first and all on foot, so it suits all ages. The Full Farm upgrade adds 45 minutes to meet the horses and chickens, hold a chicken and tour the whole property. Guests staying in the Railway Retreat, a restored Melbourne train carriage on the farm, can add the experience to their stay, and Bexland gift cards make a memorable present. Enclosed shoes are required.
