Sunshine Coast Solstice Swim

Welcome to the 8th Annual Sunshine Coast Solstice Swim Event! Presented by the Alexandra Headland Rotary Club and Alexandra Headland Surf Lifesaving Club, the Sunshine Coast Solstice Swim is a healthy and fun community swim event, run by the community for the community. There are swim distances of one kilometre, three kilometres and five kilometres and a new event distance of 500 metres, the Solstice Swim Dash - a short course swim that is perfect for younger competitors or first timers to ocean swimming. The swim is all about community and camaraderie, no pressure, just good vibes and fun! But for those who like a bit of a challenge we do have some fantastic merchandise packs for the first male or female across the line in the 500 metre, one kilometre, three kilometres, five kilometres swim legs, valued at AUD200 from the famous Budgy Smuggler Co. in Sydney. Also new this year is the introduction of timing anklets by their event partner Multisport Australia, to provide peace of mind for all of swimmers and their supporters that everyone who enters the water is accounted for and at the conclusion of the event, all swim participants will be able to look up their results in real time. All swim distances will be fully chaperoned by the amazing surf lifesavers at Alexandra Headland Surf Lifesaving Club.
