Kings Beach has a beautiful promenade with sweeping beach views, cafes, restaurants, boutique shops and resorts all providing the ingredients for a premier tourist destination. The flying fox playground, interactive water features, salt water pool, rock pools and plenty of open space will allow for hours of fun for the whole family.
Moffat Beach
Moffat Beach
‘Moffs’ is brimming with a distinct character and charm that is simply unforgettable. A local favourite for surfers of all ages, the famous Moffat Beach right hand point break is also home to Australia’s longest running surf comp the Pa & Ma Bendall. The vibrant strip of alfresco cafes and restaurants offer fantastic breakfast, lunch and dinner menu’s and you can even stop into Australia’s only brewery with beach views. Moffs is also a great spot to take a dip, setup a picnic blanket and let the kids enjoy themselves at the playground.
Bulcock Beach
Bulcock Beach, Caloundra
Bulcock Beach is a southern facing picturesque beach located within walking distance from the town and suitable for fishing, kitesurfing, windsurfing and swimming. The boardwalk spans most of the coastline here, in full view of the sparkling blue waters that lead into the Pumicestone Passage. There’s a strip of cool cafes and restaurants across the road.
Shelly Beach
Shelly Beach is a charming scenic beach. Great for a relaxing stroll with the family or time-out for someone seeking solitude. Explore the rock pools at your leisure. Make your way towards Kings Beach along the rocks and return via the coastal path for a scenic stroll.
Dicky Beach
Dicky Beach has an interesting history. In 1893 the SS Dicky was forced ashore during heavy seas and its iron skeleton remained for many years - giving the beach its name. The shipwreck has been removed but there's still plenty to see and do. A playground will keep the kids entertained while the big kids will love the skate park.
Golden Beach

Golden Beach is the most southerly of Caloundra’s beaches. It is a tranquil east-facing beach on Pumicestone passage, ideal for safe swimming or snorkelling and an assortment of water activities. A wonderful location for the younger ones to swim. This is a fantastic spot to hire some equipment and get out onto the water.
Currimundi Beach
Currimundi Beach is also ideal for children. Located in close proximity to the beach. Currimundi Environmental Park has great bushwalking trails leading through native vegetation to Currimundi Lake and the beach. On one end you have the beautiful Currimundi Lake and adjacent cafes and restaurants and the other one of the best dog beaches on the Sunny Coast.
Wurtulla Beach
Wurtulla Beach is great for a leisurely beach walk to get some exercise or reflect up on life’s simple pleasures. It is also a big hit with the surfing and body-boarding fraternity.

Point Cartwright and Kawana Beach
Kawana Beach is a beautiful long open beach stretching northwards towards the lighthouse at Point Cartwright. It's an ideal destination for shopping, watersports, swimming, fishing and walking, with its many secret spots along the coastline waiting to be discovered.
Ocean and beaches activities
If you would like to explore the coastal highlights of this delightful region on foot, a glorious seaside walk - The Caloundra Coastal Walk awaits. Commencing at the western end of Bulcock Esplanade, stroll to Kings and Shelly Beaches and then on to Moffat Headland and experience views all the way to Point Cartwright and even Mount Coolum rising in the distance. A total of 4.3 km of coast strolling. Another popular jaunt is the Point Cartwright Drive. Park the wheels and enjoy the walk to the lighthouse and wander down the hill towards Mooloolah River. Savour the spectacular view to the north and the south.
