Eat

Zesty, nourishing food definitely puts a smile on our dials and the good news is, you’re in the right place for a feel-good foodie fix.

The Sunshine Coast is a mecca for the freshest locally grown produce, sumptuous seafood fresh off the trawler, and delightful farm-to-plate culinary experiences.

Head to the Yandina Markets every Saturday from 7am until noon for all of the good stuff fresh from the farm and garden. From lip-smacking fruit to veggies and herbs, your basket will quickly fill with food for the soul.

Another must-do is Shambhala Farm - a family farm located in the enchanting hamlet of Eumundi - where you can learn how to grow your own food or take a class in the Yoga Shala.

Nourish your body and find your Zen at plant-based eatery, New Earth Café, at Coolum Beach, where you can fill up on organic, dairy-free meals by day or do one of their New Moon Sound Healing or breathwork sessions by night.

Play

It’s no secret that spending time in nature boosts our happy hormones.

Countless studies have shown that switching off from technology and immersing yourself in natural environments make us happy and healthier – and our leafy backyard is the best place to do it.

Flanked by bushland and national parks, the Sunshine Coast is a veritable hikers’ paradise offering everything from gentle coastal strolls to more challenging hikes for those who want to get their sweat on.

Join The Hike Collective for guided half and full-day hiking tours, including their epic 7.5km Glass House Mountains Guided Hike, which begins at the base of Mount Tibrogargan.

For a saltwater fix, there’s nothing like starting the day like a local with a surf at Noosa’s First Point.

As you’re riding the glassy breaks at sunrise, keep your eyes peeled for playful dolphins who love sharing in the fun with the surfers.

If you’re more a tentative beginner than a pro-surfer, don’t stress. The crew at Coolum Surf School will have you shredding like Julian Wilson in no time.

Glide across the tea-tree infused waters of the Everglades with Kanu Kapers for that peaceful pinch-me moment, or tap into your inner artist at The Pottery Studio, located in Nambour and Maroochydore, which is all about finding stillness while working with clay.

We don’t know about you, but sometimes the best thing we can do for our mind and body is to treat ourselves to some pampering, and Tank Bathhouse is your haven for relaxation.

Leave your worries at the door and slip into their four concept tank baths, including a cold plunge pool, zen out in the infrared sauna and steam rooms or get your glow on with one of their lush botanical facials, massages and spa treatments, which can be enjoyed with their gourmet lunch degustation.

Stay

Immerse yourself in nature and enjoy the spoils of hotel-style luxury at Starry Nights Luxury Glamping – a perfect eco escape where you can rise to the sound of nature and even book in a massage - or two.

Nothing says relaxation more than a long, luxurious soak in an outdoor bath and you’ll find your bliss in the Spa Studio at Spicers Tamarind Retreat, Maleny.
