The festival opens with the Screen Summit, a dynamic day of panels and conversations featuring producers, executives, and creatives from across Australia, exploring the future of screen production and the opportunities emerging in Queensland's booming industry. On Friday evening, the spotlight turns to the Pacific Islands Film Festival, presented in partnership with Film Fiji a vibrant showcase of stories from across Oceania, connecting audiences through culture, identity, and powerful storytelling. Saturday night is a red-carpet celebration with the Sunshine Coast Screen Awards Dinner, honouring the region's most talented filmmakers, producers, and storytellers with live entertainment, fine dining, and community recognition. The festival concludes on Sunday with the Showdown Shorts, a premiere screening event presenting original short films developed through the Sunny Coast Showdown initiative fresh local stories, created and filmed right here on the Sunshine Coast.
