Top things to do in Mooloolaba besides swimming

While Mooloolaba beach is epic, have you ever had a massage in a salt cave or created an artistic masterpiece over a glass of wine? There's plenty to see and do in Mooloolaba beyond the beach, including breathing in salt air of a different kind.

Shopping along Mooloolaba esplanade

Whether you’re looking for a night out with the girls at a paint n sip class or exploring the coastline on two wheels, we've rounded up some of the best things to do in Mooloolaba.

Shop and dine along the Esplanade

From fries served Amsterdam style in white cones to Gelatissimo’s amazing gelato, to the hip bars and boutique dress shops, Mooloolaba punches above its weight as a destination buzzing with places to have a drink and take a bite in between some solid retail therapy.

Get going with a coffee from one of the many umbrella lined cafes along the Esplanade before hitting the shops. Here you’ll find everything from jewellery, shoes and resort wear to award-winning Italian and Asian fusion restaurants and plenty of quirky cafes or bars to refuel in before hitting the diverse retail strip some more. Don’t forget your wallet!

Cruise along the coastal walk to the Spit

Whether biking, walking or jogging, checking out the coastal pathway from Mooloolaba Esplanade to The Spit is a must.

Having undergone a recent renovation, explore the two-metre wide, trail boardwalk section winding through a diverse range of vegetation directly behind the sand dunes.

With many entry points to the beach nestled between the pandanus and sheoak trees (casuarina), take your time checking out the surf along the way. At the end of the point, you’ll be able to see if anyone’s caught a fish and watch the various boats, kayaks, yachts and other marine craft make their way into the marina just metres away from you. #ahtheserenity

Explore it all on an EcoTekk Bike

Take a great holiday in Mooloolaba and turn it into an epic adventure with a ride on an electric bike!

Hire your electric bike, trike(!), scooter or standard pushie from EcoTekk Electric Bikes for half a day or half a week and let the explorations begin.

Cruise the beach sands, coastal pathways and hidden nooks at your own pace or deepen your understanding of the history, ecology and the environment of the area with a guided tour. Your legs will thank you for the eBike on the cruise up the steep Alexandra Headlands coastal pathway section!
